New partnership, new concept: Bôndy presents Greenstand!
- A SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL PARTNERSHIP
Greenstand is a US-based non-profit organisation that uses technology to help the environment. It makes the ecological gesture more accessible to all: to compensate or even counteract global warming. One of Greenstand's missions is also to reduce poverty. Among other things, by connecting all stakeholders in a reforestation project via tree-tracking.
The American organisation's model is similar to Bôndy's: combining environmental and social impact. Integrating local communities (rural people, small producers, peasants and farmers,...) as much as possible in each project. Thus promoting food self-sufficiency and/or the creation of a stable source of income for the people concerned.
- The TREETRACKER: What is it? How does it work?
This is a mobile application, a " open source marketplace "that puts individuals and classified entities such as BÔNDY in touch with potential green such as BÔNDY with potential customers (companies or individuals). With the aim of offsetting negative ecological impacts by planting a tree in a few clicks.
The platform developed by Greenstand connects customers/investors, producers and green companies from all over the world.
In addition to planting, this application allows each planted tree to be tracked in real time by gathering a range of information related to it. From the GPS coordinates to the planter concerned, via the maintenance of the tree.
The process goes through 3 steps: Invest - Sponsor - Follow the trees
All via a single platform...to the delight of the younger generation.
Bôndy, through Greenstand, is improving the tree monitoring process. Partner farmers care for the trees and Bôndy periodically takes geo-located photos of the trees as they grow. These tree photos will then appear on the GREENSTAND verification platform.
- AN EASY-TO-USE APPLICATION
The TREETRACKER has been designed and simplified to be suitable for all types of users. This includes the illiterate; among other things to facilitate the collection of data, photos and tree species. This ease of use is a major asset for a tool such as this.
Naturally, it becomes easier to link ecology and technology. What is commonly known as "smart tree planting".
More than thousands of trees planted, it is about leaving an ecological legacy for your fellow man.
