Bôndy is taking a new step in its commitment by obtaining B Corp certification, an international label that distinguishes companies that meet the highest standards in terms of social, environmental performance, transparency and governance. With a score of 81.4 points out of 100, Bôndy becomes the fourth Malagasy company to receive this distinction, joining a global community of actors committed to building a more sustainable, inclusive and equitable economy.
B Corp certification is much more than a label. It recognizes companies that place people, the environment and ethics at the heart of their strategy. To obtain it, each company is rigorously evaluated according to five key areas: governance, working conditions, impact on local communities, environmental management and the social or environmental value of the products or services offered. The evaluation is conducted by the NGO B Lab, founder of the B Corp movement, and only companies reaching a minimum of 80 points out of 100 are eligible for this demanding certification.
At Bôndy, this approach was initiated more than two years ago. Led with rigor and conviction by a passionate and determined team, this process made it possible to structure the company's actions around a coherent vision: that of sustainable development, at the service of nature and communities. Obtaining this certification symbolizes not only the recognition of hard work, but also a long-term commitment to continuous improvement. For Bôndy, being certified B Corp means saying loud and clear that the company does not just plant trees: it is part of an economic model that takes care of ecosystems, supports local communities and encourages responsible governance. It is also a way to differentiate yourself in the market, to strengthen the trust of partners, to attract talent who share the same values, and to open up to a global network of inspiring and innovative companies.
This international recognition confirms Bôndy's positioning as an actor with a positive impact in Madagascar, in a context where environmental and social issues are more urgent than ever. BCorp certification is not an end in itself, but a starting point for new ambitions, to go even further in collective action in favor of the common good.
