The Viseo group has entered into a partnership with Bôndy, a social enterprise carrying out impact reforestation projects in Madagascar.

Committed to education and the environment, the Viseo group supports Bôndy's environmental restoration projects.
As its mobility solutions partner through Continental Auto and the ISUZU brand,
Bôndy operates in 8 regions of Madagascar, where road infrastructures are sometimes in a state of disrepair. Through the partnership with the Viseo group, the acquisition of two Isuzu D-Max vehicles facilitates logistics and transport for Bôndy's field teams.
By putting local communities at the heart of the project, the two companies are making an environmental, social and economic contribution to the town of Andramasina, in the Analamanga region.

In terms of environmental impact, 8,666 high value-added trees will be planted over an area of 8.6 hectares on the farms of 3 partner farmers. According to estimates by Bôndy's carbon pole, 57 tonnes of CO2 will be sequestered by the trees over a 5-year period.

In terms of social impact, Bôndy is working with EPPs in each intervention zone, with the aim of raising awareness of sustainable development issues among the youngest children. To this end, educational materials will be distributed to 136 schoolchildren in partnership with Viseo.

Viseo employees have also been mobilized and sensitized in the town of Andramasina to plant their trees and have a direct impact on their environment. Trees with high added value will enable plot owners to generate alternative income.

Finally, in terms of economic impact, tree planting and monitoring have always had positive spin-offs in the areas where Bôndy operates. As a result, 12 sustainable jobs have been supported and 16 one-off jobs have been generated.

Selected tree species include fruit, cash and fast-growing trees.

For 5 years, Bôndy will support its 3 beneficiary partners through agroforestry training and the establishment of trade routes for future harvests.

This partnership represents a fruitful long-term collaboration between the Viseo Group, Bôndy and Malagasy biodiversity. The aim is to repeat the operation every year, helping to transform the red island into a green one.
