Max Andonirina Fontaine, founder of Bôndy, has been appointed Minister for the Environment and Sustainable Development in Christian Ntsay's new government, thus suspending his duties at the reforestation company. Gabriel Tasso and Nelson Maillard continue to manage the company.

Patriotic commitment to Madagascar's sustainable development

By accepting the position of Minister in the government team, Max Andonirina Fontaine reaffirms his patriotism and deep commitment to the sustainable development of the Big Island. In response to the total dedication required by his new responsibilities, Bôndy's founder has suspended his functions within the reforestation company.

Continuity of Bôndy's operations

The company is still run by Gabriel Tasso (CEO) and Nelson Maillard (Co-founder), who, with their 150 employees, 1,200 partner growers and 1,500 seasonal workers, are pursuing the mission of greening the Big Island. Since its creation in 2019, Bôndy has planted over three million trees.

Turning Red Island into Green Island

The reforestation projects developed by the company are part of a holistic approach, providing tangible benefits to Madagascar's rural communities - notably through the development of basic infrastructure and the creation of income-generating activities. For this new year 2024, Bôndy intends to demonstrate ever greater boldness and commitment to the people of Madagascar and its partners. Together, let's turn the Red Island into a Green Island!
